Welcome to the Patterdale Village Store Website
Our village store and post office is in Patterdale in the beautiful Lake District National Park in Cumbria. We are close to Ullswater and Helvellyn and offer a wide range of food, drinks and gifts.
So whether you’re staying locally and need some supplies, or just passing through and fancy an ice cream or one of our famous Cumberland Sausage Baguettes, then pop in and say hello!
Patterdale Terrier Gifts
Every year, many people come to Patterdale to visit the birthplace of the Patterdale
Terrier.
Many of these visitors bring their own Patterdale Terrier with them, so we
decided to introduce a line of gift ware to celebrate this loveable and tenacious
terrier. These gifts are only available for sale from our Patterdale Village Store
- the only shop in Patterdale!
We will be adding to this range in the months ahead, so please bookmark our site and visit us again soon.
Coast to Coast Walk Gifts
We are ideally situated on the Coast to Coast Walking route and offer a range of gifts and services to help you complete the walk and remember the experience. We have the a great selection of walking gear including maps, hats, gloves, and other essentials, as well as many souvenirs to remind you of the walk.

Lake District Gifts and Produce
We are firm believers in the championing local produce and have a great selection of locally produced food and drink, including delicious Lakeland Ice cream. We bake our own fresh bread on the premises everyday and also stock all the regular essentials to ensure you will be well equipped for a day out or a week long stay in the Dale.
